HR Recruiter late for interview. Was supposed to be a video interview. Recruiter never turned their camera on.
In the first 5 to 7 minutes, the recruiter said the hiring manager was very interested in my experience and thought it aligned well with the role. The recruiter wanted to make sure the salary range was acceptable. I inquired about any relo support since the role was in Chicago. No relo support for the role. The recruiter wanted me to provide an immediate answer if I was willing to pay my own relo expenses. If not, the recuriter didn't want to move forward with the interview.
I managed to sidestep a response to learn a little more about the role and share my accomplishments relevant to the role.
Then, I was ghosted.
About six weeks later, another role with JLL was posted. I messaged the hiring manager for that new role and shared my previous JLL interview experience.
A few days later I received an email from the recruiter stating "Thank you for taking the time to submit your application for the position of Director, Corporate Functions Communications - HR, REQ380736. We sincerely regret that we will not be moving forward with the interview process at this time."
