I applied in August and heard from them mid-October (which, in retrospect, I should have recognized as a red flag). The interview process spanned the course of three weeks and consisted of a Zoom call, a round of test retouching, another Zoom call, an in-person meeting, and an additional round of test retouching, respectively. I sent a followup email a little over a week after submitting the final test images and was told they were still actively interviewing but that they’d get back to me soon. Never heard from them again. A couple months passed and I assumed the position had been filled, but discovered it was still listed on the L’AGENCE jobs portal. Seeing this, with consideration to the time elapsed between applying and being contacted, I sent another email to one of the two people I had corresponded with throughout the interview process inquiring about any developments (keyword: any) regarding the position. That was three weeks ago, so it’s safe to assume I won’t be receiving a response. After five rounds of interviews and twelve uncompensated test images, they couldn’t muster the decency to inform me of an outcome—twice. A stunning lack of decorum and regard.
