Il primo colloquio si è svolto chiedendomi il percorso triennale descritto in lingua inglese e poi in italiano parlando della magistrale e progetti per il futuro, dopodiché 2/3 domande su situazioni in cui mi sono trovato in difficoltà e come ne sono uscito o situazioni in cui il team working mi ha permesso di avere successo.

During the day, you have to present yourself with an object that best represent you. Then, there is one logical-math test, one situational test and one group case study

Bad experience. I’ve made the interview with my manager. I felt everything woul be okay, and they said they would recontact me in few days. I’ve never heard back from them, they simply disappeared.

I applied via Linkedin, then I received a call from HR asking questions about my resume. After this, I had an interview in english with a mothertongue english person to test my english and then I was invited to an assessment centre. If you were successful they invited you to an interview with HR. The whole process was easy but I were very disappointed because although I requested it I didn't receive any feedback.

1: screening cv 2: telephone interview on your interest and why you applied for luxottica 3: english interview, nothing to serious, 5 minutes talking on your interests 4: assessment day in luxottica: 1)bring an object which represent you and talk about yourself 2)logic test, 43 questions, 20 minutes. questions are not so difficult but the time it's the real problem, 3) in basket test: pretend to be a manager, you have to answer to 12 emails, scheduling some appointment and so on, 50 minutes . Again here the difficulty are not the questions but the time. 4) group business case, you are a start up in the glass field, you have to allocate some resources and explain why. 5) creativity case: you have to develop a tv campaign for a specific luxottica's product

The interview process lasted from 8.30 am to 2 pm, more or less. At first, you are asked to introduce yourself and talk about you through bringing a product that represent you at best. The schedule then comprised 2 individual steps followed by 2 group assignments. 1st individual: selection of around 50 questions testing maths and purely logical skills, much easier than the level of difficulty that you would find in a GMAT test, but time is constrained 2nd individual: things get tougher: only 50 minutes to go though 12 e-mails asking you as a marketing manager to attend xyz meetings. As a manager you are supposed to sort out your schedule according to the e-mails content. Tough and I guess it deeply tests you psychologically; 1nd group assignment: it is you and 4 other people acting as co-founders of a start-up and arranging a presentation for the investors about how you used the budget they put at disposal and what's the future strategic path to follow, quite enjoyable but only 20 minutes available; 2nd group assignment: you are supposed to build a pair of glasses with pieces of papers, glue and scissors, create a promotional strategy to market the product and even play a sketch of the TV spot that should be launched, funny and a little embarassing I would say.

Entrevista

Initially I had a couple of Skype and phone interviews with HR, very basic questions. Then I was invited to an assessment on site. The assessment was about half day long and I was asked to bring an object that described me in advance. At the assessment: After a brief company introduction in which they tell you about the company and ask general questions to the group, each individual will introduced themselves by describing the item they brought and the reason they brought it (e.g a needle: I am a very precise and detail oriented I can fix mistakes ect). After all candidates introduce themselves, the individual tests start: 1) Math/logic test 2) They give you a fake company structure and case study and ask you to answer different emails 3) Group case study – Divide you into groups and make you solve a case study which then 1 group member has to present 4) Creative section – they give you newspapers, scissors, glue, crayons ect – you have to design and build individually a pair of sunglasses and the select one between your group and present an ad campaign in which you are asked to act out the advertisement with your group. Best group wins a Ray-Ban t-shirt. After passing the assessment you will be contacted by HR with poistive feedback and will have interviews with the managers of the role you are applying for.
