I dropped out after the portfolio review and was pretty disappointed in the impersonal automated rejection email they sent out. It didn’t include any details about what their reasoning was or even anything slightly tailored to me as a person, which felt rude after I had spent hours preparing for calls and writing out detailed answers to their values questionnaire. I was also surprised to be ghosted by the recruiter when I followed up to ask if they had any feedback from the team that they could share. Ultimately it seems Mural isn’t a very human centric company.

I actually did not get to the interview because after I chose a time slot for that, I got an NDA to sign. It's three pages long and is written (obviously) in legal English. I have two problems with that. 1., This is showing me a lack of trust prior to everything. Do I want to work in such a corporate culture? No. 2., I, being a designer, cannot possibly understand all the consequences and didn't want to hire an attorney to help me. On top of that, I wonder what could be said in a prescreening interview that could cause harm to this company…?
