Interviewed by 2 persons that weren't qualified to make judgements about my academic skills. Process lasted at least 3 months and I was led on a goose chase. I called the office at least twice in 2 weeks and nobody in the office could answer my questions. I have less conviction in the extension's mission now than the poor opinion I had before. Interview did not play to my strengths, but I guess that's my fault. Jostled out of the job offer by a person working for a big box store and mowing lawns for a living. I received a letter from extension explaining my experience and education did not match their current needs. Apparently, knowing how to work a cash register gives you great people skills. My supervisor-to-be left his job at the extension office shortly after the day of my interview. I must have missed a jolly job opportunity.
