I was scheduled to have a call with HR for a position at the company. They still hadn't called me ten minutes after the scheduled time, so I emailed asking if everything is ok. Shortly after, they responded saying something came up, but they would follow up with me later that afternoon to reschedule.
The following day, they still hadn't followed up so I emailed them again asking what's up. Only then did they inform me that they were pausing interviews for the role.
They could have just canceled saying they were moving forward with other candidates, or they didn't think I was the right fit. Instead, they told me nothing until I asked and wasted my time. How you do one thing is how you do everything.
