-BACKGROUND: My friend is a favored employee who recommended me, so the general manager just looked up my application and gave me a call, though she had my application 3 weeks before she called, but she did finally do so. anyway, she called the night before the audition and said it was for 7pm in some construction company that they use as the headquarters in this area and to get there early because the doors would close at 7pm.
-THE INTERVIEW PROCESS: i was cut after the first half and that lasted 3 HOURS a bit much for a minim wage job at a frozenyogurt place [13 interviewees total] so i ended up being the first there... well the manager introduced herself, then proceeded to do an IMPRESSION of how my friend talks ( the GOOD worker mentioned above they all like) bc she has a squeaky voice, this was unprofessional.
-when we moved into the actual meeting room, they had an employee dressed in plain clothes posing to be another interviewee come in with us to observe us without us knowing she was actually an employee to observe us.
-the manager didnt close the doors at 7 pm like she said, she waited till 7:30 and even let some random person fill out an application on the spot, when this was supposed to be a closed call where you had to be invited to attend.
-way too much time spent talking about pinkberry... drawn out.
-and took forever expressing how Pinkberry is not as easy a job as one would think, how they look for hard employees who are "SHARP" 1- service first, 2- high energy, 3- appreciative, 4 respectful, and 5- passionate
-QUESTIONS: let me just tell you these questions were asinine and INSULTING if the company is looking for hard, serious workers who will last more than a few months these are the wrong questions/ tasks to assign to find that...
-we were paired into groups of two and had to get to know our partners then introduce them to the group and they had to introduce the other person, I tend to be a very outgoing person but my partner was SO SHY she shut down right after i got very little information out of her... so that went horribly obviously.
