The interview process started with an initial phone screening, which was straightforward and professional. After passing that stage, I was invited to their office, which is in a really nice location. However, the next part of the process was unexpected.
Upon arrival, I was placed in a room with about 20 other candidates who had also applied for the role. The setup was a group assessment where we were all expected to interact with each other while being observed. We were then pulled out individually for very brief one-on-one conversations with the CEO and another member of the team, each lasting about three minutes. In between, we were encouraged to network and communicate with the other candidates, which was part of the assessment.
I wasn’t informed beforehand that this would be a group setting or that it would involve so much interaction with other candidates. If you thrive in group settings and enjoy networking with strangers, this process might be a good fit for you. However, it wasn’t what I was expecting and didn’t suit my personal preference for more structured, one-on-one interviews.
