I was invited to do a one way interview through Spark Hire. There was no employee contact. The actual interview was an interesting/positive experience. You have unlimited prep time and three tries to record within the allotted time. The questions did seem outdated (what are your strengths, areas of development, etc.). I received a generic automated rejection; it felt like the same template sent to those rejected at the resume stage. It was disappointing that the message didn't acknowledge having done the interview. I’d recommend customizing the automated rejection emails for candidates who have reached this one way interview stage— a simple "We enjoyed learning more about your experiences but …" goes a long way. I reached out for feedback and received no response. The process overall felt very out of touch, impersonal and low effort. There is a lot of potential at this company - but the candidate journey needs some attention.
