I would like to explain how this interview made me hate RR Donnelley to the worst. I went for a walk in interview at RR Donnelley, Technopark, with my friend for the position of document specialist. We had tests on MS powerpoint as well as MS Word and we cleared the test for MS Word eventually. We had some other rounds afterwards like discussion with manager, HR and cleared all the rounds. After that they had some background verification process to follow. My friend didn't have any previous work experience and her bv (background verification) got over soon and she got to join the company in 1 week. Unfortunately, I had some work experience and which made my bv to go so long. In the meantime, I contacted the HR of this company and could get only the status that my bv is not yet completed. It went for more than a month and I kept on calling the HR and got the same status that my bv is not complete. I waited and wasted more than a month without attending any other interview in the hope of joining this company soon. When I called the HR one day, they asked if I can come down to the office to attend another technical interview on MS Powerpoint since I had a better score in this area in the initial test they conducted. In the quest of joining this company, I attended a F2F technical interview on Powerpoint again. After this they told me to attend a technical test on powerpoint again on another day. I came down to the office again on the day they scheduled the technical test and unfortunately I couldn't clear this one and they told me to join for MS Word process (which I got initially) on the next day. I was on cloud nine thinking that all the waiting is over and all my hard work has bore fruit. But to my surprise and frustration, I got a call from this annoying, irritating, arrogant "so called" HR executive, stating that my friend who joined earlier, has given a resignation which resulted in making my joining to the company on hold. I don't understand why on earth do they need to hold my joining because one of my friend has left the company. I waited, wasted a month, attended all the interviews they scheduled, and hard worked MS Word and MS Powerpoint, just to start a career with this company and to my utter frustration and disgust, all my efforts went in vein. What that irritates me more was the arrogant nature of the HR who called me and showered all her frustration on me, for the reason that she got to hear some scolding from the higher management. Is this the way the HR of a MNC should behave? I won't forget her name in my whole life. I decided not to go behind this company anymore and not to recommend this company to any of my friends. I didn't lose anything but the company did lose a ready-to-hardwork candidate.
