There were overall 3 steps:
1. They first sent me a document outlining a summary of the company and work that they take on, and sent along a questionnaire to go along with it. It was about 5 questions, with multiple parts.
2. I suppose they liked my answers because I got an email saying that they would like to schedule an initial interview with me. I can't remember if this was a virtual meeting or phone call.
3. I passed the initial interview and moved on to the final interview where I spoke with 2 people on video. I believe they were both people I would be working closely with if I were to have gotten the job. They asked standard questions, particularly about inclusivity as this was the position I was applying for. Overall, they were both very friendly and welcoming.
I ended up not getting the job, and found out about an entire month later due to their hiring process taking longer than usual. They called me and told me I didn't get it, but offered great feedback and stated they liked my answers and believed I would do well in the industry -- I just did not have enough experience at the time.
Overall, it was a good interview process!

I applied online and was pleasantly surprised to hear back with a request for more information and then got a message to chat. It consisted of a phone call where we went over the organization, the role, my interest, my experiences, etc.
From the conversation I still wasn't sure if I was the right fit in terms of experiences and skills, but it did sound like I did have transferrable and adaptable experiences that would work. Overall, the conversation was pleasant and while I really didn't know how it would turn out, it was nice to chat. I had previously been interested in the organization and what they did, so it was nice to finally get a chance to learn more about them.

No trick questions but standard questions about my background and history, my experiences using certain software, did I have experience with spreadsheets, had I created surveys before. Nothing that took me by surprise or led me to think I had applied to the wrong job or anything.
