The interview process at Reveal Media was utterly excessive considering this was a lowly paid, non managerial role. Although the job spec expected candidates to drive, manage and deliver very ambitious plans, and with limited resources... This was completely disproportionate: several online and on-site meetings (their small office is outside of London so you have to take trains to travel there each time), and even an IQ test. And Finally, after all this, they ask you to work on a comprehensive task and present it. Of course the task was related to a project that they have in real life, so you're essentially doing free work for them.
Despite all this time and effort, all you get from their HR person is literally half a handful of words of feedback in a LinkedIn message, literally one sentence. And it's not even related to the spec or the recruitment conversations. It's not a joke, it's disgraceful and disrespectful. Red flag for the CEO: he seems to calling all the shots and made comments that strongly suggested an uncollaborative and controlling culture. Also, he seems to be quite deluded when he claims that Reveal Media is about to take over the US market by storm!...
