The interview process wasn't bad, it was a standard teams interview due to lockdown. However. the job description mentioned I would be working on the financial aspects of gift cards, but during the interview I was told that won't necessarily be the team I would work in, it could be anything. This wasn't the problem, the problem was then asking what I expect the role to be, however having just been told it could be anything, I answered I'm not sure now based on what you've told me. I was then rejected for the role for not reading the job description thoroughly and not taking the time to research, which I did do but they literally said in the interview I may not be doing that. For that to be the sole reason given on not securing the role, I was very disappointed as it wasn't reflective of the actual interview itself.
