I arrived at Spring hill Medical center a few minutes early before my interview. I sat and waited 15-20 extra minutes past my interview time, for the regional manager to come out. She looked nothing like the picture she used in her profile shown under scribe america. She and I had only communicated via email. She seemed unmotivated and depressed. She acted as if she knew who she was looking for, even though she'd never met me. I really believe she was looking for a caucasian person. She walked past me twice without calling my name. She shook my hand and glanced up at my hair. I felt that this was prejudice behavior. Because I'm and African American woman. And she was white. She was friendly but very nonchalant about what exactly she was looking for. She asked me what days and hours I wanted to work as if she planned on hiring me. I don't think she was a good representation for this company. She seemed unprofessional, lazy and cynical. She told me how she had trained people from home in her pajamas with her cats. She emailed me 3 days after my interview at 3:16 am. To tell me they chose someone who had previous scribe experience. This was a big waste of my Saturday. All in all I felt as if she was holding her own personal interviews based on her own personal feelings. And not for scribeamerica.
