I applied online. Then contacted by HR recruiter who scheduled screener call. HR confirmed candidate fit based on deep relevant background. HR provided very insightful and timely information about overall process.
Hiring manager with Director, who was nearly 10 minutes late to the Zoom call. She rapid fired lots of questions and I provided answers and examples of deep knowledge with technology, people, and processes. Director needed to re-review my resume background + appliation live during call, so she was not as prepared for a meaningful conversation. Director kept interrupting with "One more question..." whenever I tried to ask a question about role, team, challenges---I never got perspective on things I needed to know. Director stated they would schedule a follow up call that was never scheduled. Emailed HR for next steps, received a rejection days later.
Beware of hiring managers (+ interviewers) who demonstrate bias and nepotism for candidates who look/think like them, and calling it "team fit"
Rating reflects experience with hiring Director.
