After recovering from the disbelief, I was disappointed and I hope my interview experience is not the norm. It was very disturbing as the very first question directly focused on my demographics; which was then followed by why I did not have an accent, after I replied to the original first question, disclosing my ethnicity and place of origin. The succeeding questions were basic and the recruiter seemed disinterested and unengaged. The lack of follow-up was also unexpected. There was no follow-up six weeks later, which prompted a call from me checking on the status, week and half later after no reply to my voicemail, I followed via email and was then sent an automated response. An overall unfortunately negative.
