They posted an ad on indeed.com and I applied. They replied back that they were interested and asked me to fill out one of their applications. I filled out their application and submitted it with my schedule of availability for when I could interview for the position. Then COVID-19 hit and the state ordered all the casinos shut down and that froze their hiring process. When the state said it was OK for casinos to re-open, they put out another advertisement looking to fill the position I applied to 3 months before. Then they called me wanting to schedule an interview with the manager, and scheduled it on a day I told them that I could not interview on that day due to me working another job, an "essential job" which allowed me to stay employed through the lockdown. At that point, I stopped the process because I would not tolerate the interview schedule and felt both insulted and slighted by their approach. It's no way to treat a professional. Being professional, I told them politely that I could not go further in the hiring process because I felt better working an "essential job" somewhere that would not be shut down when the next pandemic occurs.
