Entrevista

SmartRecruiters says that the entire hire process should take no more than 2 weeks, which sounded attractive to me as I'm still in process with some companies for 2+ months! I applied the Friday before Labor Day, and had my first interview with the hiring manager 8 days later. On Day 13, I interviewed at their SF headquarters with four individuals for one hour each. On Friday, exactly 14 days later, the hiring manager told me they would seek out a candidate with commercial, rather than public sector, experience. I suspect this came from their VP of sales who seemed satisfied with their system of creating proposals on Google docs. The company does not have any internal system (such as Microsoft Office Suite/SharePoint) nor any proposal software system (Qvidian/Xait/Quorus, etc.) for proposal development, much less an internal system to monitor results or house past proposals.

  • Can you develop proposals to establish a business case? (This was from the VP of Sales and had to do with his 7 step sales process. Step 1 is document the Customer's Pain; Step 2 is to establish a Business Case.)
