Applied online, received a call later on to setup a technical phone interview with one of the engineers. After passing that, I was then invited for an onsite interview at the Hawthorne facility (which is absolutely incredible). For the onsite interview, I was given a tour of the facility with my HR recruiter. I then had to give a 30 minute presentation about an engineering project to about 15 engineers and my HR recruiter, and the panel of engineers asked me technical questions about it (so make sure you're confident about the project). They then ask you to leave so they can evaluate you and determine whether they want to continue interviews. I passed that, and then I had about 12 interviews with various engineers (the number really depends on whoever wants to interview you, the more the better... I assume). Everyone was very friendly and cool to talk to; at the same time they're asking technical questions, so you have to stay on your toes. Got free frozen yogurt! free lunch (which was pretty, btw), saw the Iron Man costume, saw the Dragon, saw the rockets, met some of the smartest people in my life, and solved some technical problems. I received a call about two days later asking for an executive summary (not sure what this was used for). Had to wait a while for this to get approved (~1 month), and then received an offer! Everyone at the Hawthorne site was awesome!
