I applied online. I was selected for a phone interview with the human resource team on Jan 13. The interviewer called me on Jan 12 for my interview so trying to be flexible I did it early. The interview went well and lasted roughly 7 minutes. At the end of the interview the interviewer offered me an in person interview and gave me two dates (Jan 27 & 28) with multiple times to choose from. Because I am a full time college student I chose my interview on Jan 28 at 2:00 pm. The interviewer then called me again on Jan 13 for my interview, having no idea he had called me the previous day. Once I had explained it to him he apologized for the mix up and that was that. A few days later, the interviewer from the phone interview then sent out an email to everyone (which was about 280 people) to confirm the location of the interviews and to say good luck. From then on I was preparing for my in person interview. A few days before my interview I had found out that the two days they were holding interviews were actually going to be a job fair where people could just walk in and get an interview. I didn't think anything of it since I had a set interview time on the 28. However, I was wrong. On Jan 27 around 5 pm I got a phone call reminding me of my interview on the 28. I also received a few emails regarding confirmation and time/location of my interview. However, around 6 pm I received another phone call saying that all of the interviews that were scheduled on the 28th had been cancelled because they had hired everyone on the 27th. After receiving this phone call people began replying to the previous email asking if other people had gotten the same phone call to make sure the information was correct. Somethings that were shared in this group email were ridiculous. As an example, one individual had an interview in the afternoon on Jan 27 and was turned away at the door because they had already hired everyone. They had hired everyone within hours of starting the job fair that morning. Sprouts was turning away individuals that applied and passed their phone interviews for people that didn't even apply at all. They did not honor any interviews they had set up before the dates of the interviews. You cannot give people set interview times and allow walk in interviews on the same day. Poorly run management.

My Sprouts interview was quick (5-7 mins) and easy. The friendly manager asked basic questions about my background and how I would try to help customers. It was a simple chat. I was excited.
