Called in for interview after 1 week of submitting resume. I was called in to meet with HR. Scheduled based on my availability. On the day of the interview I met with HR, 2 Department VP's and the VP of People & Culture. They were all very nice and interested in my answers. I left and returned to meet the CEO Suuchi herself the same week, I came in late one evening after my workday. She was very interested in my ability to be honest about company growth and processes. She was upfront about wanting to hire me and said they would be in touch. The next day they called and made me an offer followed by and official offer. I gave my current employer at that time 1 1/2 weeks notice and started with Suuchi after. Its been an amazing experience and the growth here is promising.

When they could finally find a room to conduct the interview, it started out with literally two chairs in a room. First interviewer was pretty thoughtful, asked good questions. Then the "VP of People" came in,,,found another room. From the first minute I knew that this idiosyncratic gentleman had no interest in interviewing me at all. Guess I didn't fit his mold. Whatever.
After a few minutes, they asked if I had questions. I asked a couple questions. Then the VP stated "look, you are busy, we are busy. If you don't hear back from us in 5 days, then it's not a good fit". I basically laughed. If you are going to put yourself in a position of "power", then don't be a child.

This was an interesting interview for their Hiring Day event. I had to answer lifestyle-work related questions on a sheet of paper which took some time to answer. The rest of the interview was interesting because I talked with two different managers since it's a start-up company that is growing rapidly. They are understaffed and the managers have more than one role in the company and I talked to two of them for different departments. The two interviewed me accordingly but the second manager kept telling me I should go into the sales department and speak to another manager because of my background in sales. That was okay but I told both managers that I didn't necessarily want to focus on sales but more on the managing aspect of it, hence the position I applied for. I later find out from the second manager (who was in charge of HR) that Account Managing required experience when it said otherwise on the website. I instantly knew I wasn't going to get the job then because of their lack of information on the career section on their own website.
I did learn a lot about the company though and I think what they are doing is intriguing. I definitely see a lot of potential for the company. Based on my conversation with the second manager, my advice would be for the company to keep their focus and excel on their primary area of business which is manufacturing before they start moving onto their big ambitions in order to establish and introduce the company brand to people all over the U.S./North America (and then the world).
Overall, my impression was that they were unorganized, understaffed (just because it was at the administrative level), and scattered. I got good advice from it but I wasn't going to apply for the position they wanted me to and I feel like I wasted my time (more than one hour) for a position that required unspecified experience.
