The entire Data Science team came from another company. After the first technical interview, there was this massive take home assignment that essentially build their product (12hrs)! I was told that they are looking to improve their code base as it does not work on all situations. They would desire you give them the code too. When the assignment was complete there was a presentation. Some of the questions were essentially on trying to reproduce applicant's work! They wanted to know the nuances involved! Second part of the take home assignment was asking the candidate for suggestions on improving their dashboard! All for fee - wow! That is 12hrs of free code development and free ideas. Huge waste of time! To attract candidates, the company is retaining a third party company, who are on their payroll for supplying steady steam resources for them to interview. Third party recruiting company play a role of introducing and that's all. Coupled with the first line, you can decide ethical and morale standards of this company.
