I told him that a light is shined onto the paper and an image is translated into a digital file that is transferred by a laser engine to a photosensitive drum that is charged with a current so that the toner particles can be attached to a sheet of paper as it is fed through the paper path. Once the toner is magnetized to the paper, the paper transports to the fuser where the plastic toner is melted into the paper. The COO asked me this question but he did not give me a context- who am I supposed to explain this too- a custom or another technician...
