The initial process is totally impersonal. Businesses are trying to save time and money by implementing this virtual filter (HireVue) that leaves out very good candidates. THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT BUSINESS ARE DONE WITH PEOPLE, not throught virtual interview process. HireVue sells to companies like BBC and other techy companies that they will be able to save money, time and make a better the decision but this is totally WRONG! Particularly for sales roles. Sales have ALWAYS been about people and it WILL continue to be this way. Companies like the BBC who try to implement this non-sense filter will eventually realize that you have to see your candidate in person and not let an awkward video interview be the first step. Other bigger companies have tried to use impersonal techology for sales and recruiting and they have failed MISERABLY! BTW the company is doing really bad financialy, just google them.
