After hearing about the layoffs at Thumbtack, I was a bit hesitant (being affected from layoffs myself). However, almost everyone I interacted with at the company was kind, welcoming, and helpful, and I felt like they wanted me to succeed. The biggest differentiator was how communicative they were during the interview process, often proactively reaching out to give updates. That being said, the hiring manager acted as the recruiter, so I'm not sure how much I can attribute to Thumbtack vs. the hiring manager just being great to work with. The process was pretty standard and even though I didn't get an offer, I had a positive experience!

Thumbtack's interview process was a breath of fresh air. Everyone was great to work with throughout – they were transparent, communicative, and moved quickly. It all felt very natural/organic and it was evident that everyone I spoke with genuinely enjoyed working at Thumbtack. Can't say enough great things – I knew early on it was a culture that I wanted to be a part of!
