The interview process at the U.S. Energy Foundation was disorganized and frustrating from the start. The third-party recruiter they used was clearly overwhelmed and came to our initial conversation unprepared, at one point briefing me on the wrong position entirely. It set a chaotic tone for everything that followed. From there I was passed between three different interviewers across different departments, all for the same role. Each conversation went well enough in the moment, but every single one ended the same way: complete silence afterward. No feedback, no follow-up, no closure. Being ghosted once is understandable. Being ghosted three times in a row by the same organization tells you something about how they value candidates' time. If you are interviewing here, go in with low expectations for communication and make sure you clarify exactly what role and team you are being considered for before investing significant time in the process.
