Unexpected questions were basic Thermodynamics ones such as first or second law. Most difficult question was : How do you increase the efficiency of internal combustion engines. The question was general and not on any specific application.

This question is really general and there are so many ways that you can answer, I tried more to explain based on increasing efficiency of thermodynamics cycles which is my profession area.
