Video-heavy and no telephone discussions, particularly in light of the pandemic. Several rounds meeting with senior leadership which was expected. That’s really all that needs to be said on a GD platform

  • **CANDIDATES, BEWARE!!!** The Interview process wasn't the issue; it was the UNFORGETTABLE offer experience at the end, when I was clearly the last candidate standing. A Fortune 10 - I repeat Fortune 10 - company who can easily afford to compensate top talent at market rate...couldn't even offer a competitive salary, or sign-on bonus, or 6-month review in lieu of bonus, or mgmt bonus until 2 YEARS down the road. In fact, this company couldn't - wouldn't - negotiate at all (what company worth their salt offers ANYONE a sophisticated position without expecting SOME kind of negotiation?) Their reason for being sooo hinky: "Internal Equity" issues. They blamed their inability to negotiate with candidates on their current workforce. To add insult to their own brand injury, the HR recruiter had the audacity to rebuke me for reaching out to the would-be HM to seek clarity on the very bizarre job offer email and non-negotiating. "You go through ME", they said. How odd, since the HM was the actual boss - NOT this unprofessional HR person who "thought" they were higher than the HM. I shared this shocking news with some career experts. Their response: "You were wise to RUN from that company". Shame on UHG for condoning such a horrible candidate experience. If you want to attract talent to find their "Life's Best Work", perhaps you should first pitch top candidates YOUR best offer package.

Met with the UHG recruiter first, then a clinical interview with Optum staff and then a company client based interview in a panel interview with several staff from the client company. All were professional and on Zoom.

Starts with phone interview, then online interview, then in person interview followed by technical questions. Process takes around a month but is really smooth. Enjoyed interview process highly recommended for anyone who may be interseted.

1) Recorded video answering behavioral questions, 2) interview with the hiring manager, 3) panel interview in which the rude director worked while I was talking, 4) phony recruiter call saying I was the "top candidate", that I would hear the following week, and that she would email me directly (she didn't), 5) got ghosted. I would say I'm upset by the disrespect shown to me as an applicant but I think I dodged a bullet. If this is how they treat applicants, imagine how badly they treat employees.

First round technical interview; two questions, one related to Strings, one related to dynamic programming. Second round manager interview; not technical at all, entirely about background, personality, and passions. Third round team interview; vaguely technical ("what approach would you use to solve ____?"), but mostly evaluating "team fit".

I applied online for the Quantitative Research Consultant position with The Lewin Group as I met every single one of their desired qualifications. I received an invitation to complete a virtual interview through HireVue. This consisted of sitting in front of a laptop and recording yourself answering several basic questions. You have 4 tries to answer each question and can re-record, but you cannot go back to choose which recording you like the most. I prepared more than I would for a typical phone screen for this. I did not hear back for more than a month and then received an email (for a position that I didn't even apply for) saying they did not want to move forward with me. Absolutely terrible experience and actually quite embarrassing that they cannot invest in the resources to have a recruiter or real person speak to a candidate. I was. never once contacted by a recruiter at this company to discuss the role, if they enjoyed their work, if it would be a good cultural fit for me. I cannot even follow up with a recruiter to ask for feedback because I never was contacted by anyone at the company. Quick advice: stay away, there are plenty of better companies that will actually want to get to know you.

Video interview with assigned questions applicable to the role. The video interview was conducted in a professional manner and I had a positive experience with it. The negative part of the experience came with the lack of communication after the interview. There was no communication for almost three weeks, and I found out I wasn't selected by going onto their application website and seeing my application saying no longer under consideration. I feel like you should at least get an email notification saying that you weren't selected. More communication in the selection process would be better.

Recruiter Interview was via telephone. Very laid back. Questions included: get to know me, experience, willingness to travel, remote experience etc. Very easy process, 20-30 minutes. recruiter didn't know a ton about the actual position.
