I interviewed for a new role within the marketing team that I could not take due to a previous commitment. I had 3 interviews (one with the VP Marketing, one with the VP Commercial and a final one with the co-founders) We mainly discussed my skills and experience suitable to the role and some practical technical questions related to demand generation. They were very supportive and open to discuss the future plans for the business and career progression within the team.

Interview process was clear, but a similar (negative) experience to another review here. I had the first interview (which the company bought forward) and was told I’d hear in the coming days, within a couple of hours I been informed I’d been invited to the second interview and date and time confirmed. I was also asked to complete an analysis task to discuss during the second interview. This could have been done within an hour or so but I took a couple of hours so as not to rush it and give it the attention required. Two hours before the second interview I was emailed asking for it to be postponed, a second time and date was agreed and confirmed. That day came and no one turned up. There was no communication or apology, I emailed to check something hadn’t happened and had no acknowledgment. I presume they changed their mind and I was unsuccessful but to simply not turn up with no communication is an appalling way to treat potential candidates.
