Applied through official channel and got call from HR.
The conversation with HR is great, HR is professional.
Then it comes the worst part, technical interview with their architect:
Basically the architect didn’t have too much experience in DevOps or interviewing DevOps role, to me it feels he is more want to find a developer with DevOps experience, too bad...
Suggestions: they should get the help from HQ or other site if they really don’t know how to interview a DevOps engineer in a professional way: for example, regarding Kubernetes, only one question was asked and not a common one, there is no question regarding CI/CD pipeline or IoC like Terraform/Ansible, also no question for AWS/GCP, all those skills are required from the job description though.
So be careful.
I had a referral and a week later the recruiter reached out to me. I had multiple interviews ranging from discussing technical background, LC problems, and chats with upper management.
