The interview process was very thorough. I believe I sat through 3 or 4 interviews total, but they scheduled them closely together so it didn’t take weeks. The interview also included a math test and case study.

There were a few questions about general knowledge of health insurance and billing.
Case study involved some basic mental math, interpreting graphs, and explaining value to a customer. Nothing very difficult.

All calls lasted 45 minutes to an hour. There was always amazing feedback & the want to move forward until the business case review.
There’s a statistical test, which I don’t think makes much sense if you’re not in a number based role that they place a lot of merit on. I guess it’s supposed to show how well you’re able to draw conclusions when you don’t have all the answers. Kind of unrealistic, as I would have the data & numbers in front of me, which would allow me to provide a client with an in depth answer. They attempted to pivot me into another role, which would have been multiple interview rounds, because they didn’t think I had enough product knowledge. Overall, I felt as if my time wasn’t respected and they were a bit disingenuous. The feedback I received after the business case study would have been greatly appreciated 2 interviews prior, especially if this is something they all believed to be true prior to setting up that interview.

They do not have a standard interview process, they make each interview process unique depending on the person, which I found put a lot of personal bias into their interview process. This was the first red flag I got from VisitPay.
I had 5 interviews:
Recruiter: 30min
Head of product: 30min conversational
Sr. Product Manager: 30min product case
Chief product owner: 45min conversational
Director of analytics: 45min product case
Throughout the interview process I got the feel of a “good old boys club” and also I it the feel as though a select few leadership makes all the decisions and after talking with people who have left VisitPay they agree.
Which explains why they don’t have a standard interview process.
