      Entrevista para Client Success Manager

      14 de nov. de 2018
      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Raleigh, NC
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência neutra
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa WalkMe (Raleigh, NC).

      Entrevista

I was referred by an employee. After a phone screen with a recruiter I was told we'd be moving to the next round soon. The next week I was told that the interview process had stalled and may resume in a couple months. Two months later the recruiter reached out again for another phone screen. An in-person interview was scheduled for the next week. The initial in-person interview was 90 minutes long with two Client Success Team Leads. It consisted of a presentation, a mock client kickoff call, and general interview Q and A. For the presentation section, you are asked to present a use case in which the WalkMe platform would benefit a prospective client's website. They recommend you download the free version of the WalkMe product and actually use it on the site to create step-by-step screengrabs. You're also expected to present measurable KPIs and give detailed insight on how WalkMe would help the client meet these KPIs. This is an interesting thought experiment, but also a challenging one, as you are expected to take on the perspective of a client who needs the software and a representative of the company recommending key features of the product. The product itself is fairly simple to use but applying it to any random website is not relevant. It's more useful for a web-based application that a company would pay for or use internally, so finding a strong use-case that sustains an entire presentation can be difficult. The presentation ran 15 minutes. The next phase of the interview was a mock client kickoff call. I was under the impression that this would be a demonstration of my knowledge of their products/features. Most of the questions weren't too challenging, but some seemed to require actual working knowledge of the product. This is fair for a mock client kickoff call, but those questions seemed poised to intentionally trip me up, which is an interview tactic I've never really appreciated. After the close of this exercise, they said I did well, but I did not ask enough questions to the client. The point of the exercise--which I learned after completely the exercise--was to relentlessly ask questions and dig into the needs of the client they were pretending to be. As someone with sales and account management experience, this is something I've done my entire career, but it rendered much of my preparation particularly useless. A couple days after the initial interview I received a request to interview with the Client Success Team Lead. This would be a video conference interview, so I assumed he was at a different location. I joined the video conference and he was nearly ten minutes late on his end. He also did not use the video function--only audio--as he was driving on his way to work. He was not at a different location, but actually worked in the Raleigh office. It was clear to me he simply did not want to schedule an interview that interfered with his work hours. I understand that people are busy, but I prefer in person interviews or even face to face if it's over video chat, especially when it's with someone who makes the final decision. I've never conducted an interview while driving and likely never will. I followed up a few times with the recruiter as it seemed the final decision kept getting pushed back. I had to follow up a final time to learn that I would not be receiving an offer. Everyone I interacted with was generally pleasant. The interview process was different from anything I've experienced.

Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela WalkMe (Raleigh, NC) em mar. de 2020

      Entrevista

Straight-forward interview process. Three rounds, with a panel interview at the end. Recruiter was very helpful, and since they were growing rapidly, I was made an offer within a week.
