Being the youngest of eight with the closest sibling being 12 years older than me, I have always been around children as a niece or nephew was born every year of my life. Concurrently, being born and raised in the inner city, I've always felt the need to help young people gain a more positive perspective of the world around them that can be afforded to them through education. I watched my dad tutor young boys in his garage until late at night and literally change their lives forever. Many of them stopped gang involvement later in life and allowed education to be their primary goal. This has given me a passion to help change the lives of youth through education.
