The salary for the role was posted in a range on the website (45-65K GBP). I picked 55, which was in the range, and I could've been brought down, I was still comfortable with the final number. The interviewer didn't like my answer and said that the posted salary range on the website is irrelevant. In fact, for my number, the company would prefer to hire someone who loved robots so much- "They will have to shoot them in the head to make them go home"
