I described a couple of my past research projects, and I especially emphasized the open nature of research projects versus class projects. In a class project, the professor knows the answer; there's a safety blanket if you're lost. In a research project, no one knows the answer. You can only listen to advice and try to figure out the best approach. This was also my biggest professional challenge.
