Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela White Labs (Asheville, NC) em mai. de 2019

I submitted a resume and portfolio examples, and did two in-person interviews. The interviews were partially Skyped in, which was a little weird, but makes sense for the position and the company since it's bicoastal.

The interview was set up by someone from HR and I had to email my resume twice (once in response to their Craigslist ad, and another to an official email that was posted with the job on their website), plus a follow up email to even get a response from them. It was over Skype with the VP since she was in San Diego and this was a position at the new Asheville location. The interview went alright. It was more of a conversation than an interview. Definitely no "describe your strengths/weaknesses" questions. But she barely asked any questions, and I felt like I wasn't able to "sell myself" for the position which was very frustrating as I was absolutely qualified. She was nice and I didn't feel like I had a bad interview, just that I never had the chance to really prove to her that I could be great at this position. I sent a thank you email the next day to thank her for taking time to interview me and to reiterate my interest and passion for the industry and received no response. I sent a follow up email three weeks later to see where they were in the hiring process (I needed to know whether or not to hold out for this job) only to have her (FINALLY) tell me that they decided to move forward with another candidate. If I had not emailed to follow up I'm pretty sure that she would have never let me know this.

The interview was amazing. The team seemed great. Halfway through the hiring manager told me flat out that I was their only real pick. He gave me a tour which he said only the person getting hired would get. He even walked me to my car. He said I'd hear by that Friday or Monday and I walked away feeling like a million bucks. And then 3 weeks passed and nothing. I kept following up with HR (the only one I had contact info for) finally I found contact info for the hiring manager and emailed. That is when I found out they picked an internal candidate. I was devastated and annoyed. Furthermore, I was told that QC had a opening coming and that he had passed my resume to that hiring manager. I was shocked. QC is a lower position that I'm not quiet qualified for. I am qualified for QA. Don't take anything they say as a chance or you'll end up like me. Sad and frustrated
