I provided an answer along the lines of "the tech team, specifically working in player support seems like it is an excellent way to be in touch with the current trends and issues of the game. As it's stated on your website in many places, players are the very essence of the game so supporting players would be an excellent way to learn more about and support the company." The interviewer's response was a very terse "yeah, BUT why do you want to work for my team?" This caught me a bit off guard and I couldn't think of anything significant to add other than a rehash of the answer I just provided. I understand that I could have answered the question a little more directly; it was the interviewer's attitude that was a bit impolite and made for an unpleasant interview.
