I applied for a position at Workday in Costa Rica, and after waiting for over a month, I was excited to be contacted for the selection process. I went through five interviews with different people, none of whom would be my direct supervisor.
The recruitment process felt a bit impersonal, as most communication was done through automated emails. I interacted with 3-5 different recruiters during this time. Unfortunately, the recruiter missed our first scheduled interview, and when I reached out to confirm the date, she replied a few days later, explaining there had been an issue and she would reschedule.
They constantly ask about your availability and schedule interviews on days you're not available, which makes the process longer. They also make mistakes about whether the interviews are in-person or virtual and only confirm the correct medium with you a few hours beforehand.
Responses typically took 3-4 days or more, and I never received a phone call or an explanation of the interview process. After two months of interviews, I received a generic rejection email. From my perspective, the experience lacked empathy from the recruiters.
