Entrevista
After responding to an ad and applying, I had a brief phone interview. The manager I spoke to couldn't really answer my questions about their business model, but was very willing to listen to me talk about my relevant experience.
The presentation consisted of a sample Weekly Yelp newsletter. I didn't hear any feedback besides a call back for an in-person interview.
The interview seemed like it was going well, but it was really just a pleasant chat. The interviewer would digress onto tangents and it took a little work for me to keep track of and return to my original point. I had to pry and fish for very basic info about what the job is like week-to-week. I believe I was only asked two actual questions, both about the city. I got no feedback about my newsletter or indication if my Yelping to date was sufficient.
Almost instantly I heard another candidate was chosen.
It is hard to say whether or not this was a difficult process- the writing was easy but not knowing what exactly they were looking for made for a lot of uncertainty.

I thought the interview process was short, but quite efficient. The hiring managers were quick and communicative, and I received notification about the status of my applications quickly. I will say that it felt a bit impersonal given it was a phone call, and would have preferred a virtual interview, but it was ok.

Very simple 30 min remote interview. Asked decent questions but the job itself didn't seem appealing. They started with salary and asked me to confirm if I would like to move forward with the interview based on the salary.

The Yelp Community Manager interview process consisted of 1 phone conversation with the hiring manager, a zoom with the hiring manager, extensive writing test and final zoom interview with another team member. All of the interviews were about 30 minutes or less, and I found them really casual and easier than at many other large corporate organizations I've interviewed with. I found that I didn't learn very many details about the role until the final interview, it was very candidate focused.
