DON'T Waste you time!!!! A guy reached out to me on LinkedIn (without me applying for the job) for the opening and he asked my availability to talk, we had a good 45 minutes chat. He was really a nice person and I enjoyed talking to him. BUT for the next step I talked to the hiring manager, he was completely the opposite and he was saying totally different things about the JD and interview process. I had a chat with him, technical high level questions (started exactly after saying hi) and he sent me a take home project and after that I sent him a few emails but he didn't even bother to respond. And when I checked the website, the position was closed and probably they already hired someone even before I started coding. That was completely unacceptable!!! I spent my whole weekend on the project for nothing! I sent my solution, he didn't respond again and sent him another email the next day and after 1 hour he said we reviewed your code and we are not moving forward with you. If you didn't want to consider some one for hiring because she/he is not qualified for the position, why you even reach out to people yourself, Specially in this rough situation of COVID-19!!! Completely waste of time!
