If you were asked to unload a 747 full of jelly beans, what would you do?

61 respostas

Assuming they are loose jellybeans, and their unloading needs to be managed rather than just dumped on the tarmac ... Start by phoning the people at the other end, of the process. They managed to load an entire plane with jellybeans! Any group that can figure out how to fill a plane with jellybeans may be a big help in undoing this mess. Menos

Put an ad on craigslist "Free jellybeans - won't last. Hurry!". They'll all be gone in no time. Menos

I would do it. The question is not "how" you would do it.

Why are manhole covers round?

11 respostas

A round cover won't fall into a round hole.

Harder to fall in the hole itself. Vs a square or rectangle cover

Hard to put a round cover on the wrong way. Only 1 way to put it on, even if upside down Menos

Why should we hire you?

I explained what my accomplishments have been in previous roles and how that experience would add value. Menos

Yes, people should warn others about bad experiences.

He is more than a control freak. He also thinks he is better than everyone and knows everything. Even though he doesn't know how to work his own Surface and is constantly having the low level service center employees help him with basic computer issues. So much for a CIO that knows what he is doing. Menos

Why should I hire you?

I find it to be both a puzzling, fallacious and antiquated notion that a STEM practitioner needs to make a "sales pitch" about themselves. If I was an effective "salesperson", that would be my chosen field of endeavor, seeing that it is far more lucrative than my area of expertise. If during an interview, I am asked about education, accomplishments, problem solving skills, consensus building and professional references, I have a tremendous amount of verifiable evidence that can be provided. However, I am not a "brand" or a "product" to be "sold". My sales pitch is my solid history of deliverables and successful projects. My approach to management, mentorship and inspiring staff members is my "brand". In sum, I have very little respect for persnickety leaders who expect me to "sell" myself. Clearly, they really don't know what their own long term strategic goals are if they are looking for a candidate to "market their brand" rather than an accomplished professional who can help them achieve the goals they have already mapped out. I'm not a salesman and never pretended to be one. Menos

If PWC needs to be more modern and creative. That's a very old outdated question. Menos

Do you know TK

I had seen reviews of CLSA here still when I was called for interview I went there and wasted one day. so here is the story they were looking for 8-10 year exp guy still they shortlisted my profile that was 15 year of experience. Now my 1st round was done by a guy who himself had less than 10 yr exp and he had no positive vibe .. usually when you go for a interview you are greeted by an interviewer and made comfortable because you may be a future employee there.. here things are different. that guy had the sign of rejecting you from 1st minute and was looked like he don't wanted to recommend you because you were already 5 years more experienced than him. so he spoke to me for 20 min about technical stuff that was usual questions and then he left and asked to wait there as he will send his manager for second round. same thing happen in 2nd round look like he also was sure to reject you, he asked my current salary ..no one in a good company ask this except HR.. technical panel never ask your current CTC and expectation ,,,,, so that shows he was thinking this guy will get more than my salary how can I let this happen. as I dont wanted to be rude or upset him I told him my salary and then he asked in the end this is a individual contributor role why you want to go for it you have 15 year exp and you can be a manager.. that was it and I came to know that they dont want to hire me. then why did they call for a face to face,..wasting my time and their time. over all I found the look and feel of the atmosphere inside the company was dull and look like people are underpaid or something . I did not find any single person wearing a smile or positive energy there. may be these guys did me a good favor by not selecting me. Menos

Agree this is place has been going from bad to worst, now a days there are so many less candidates joining that TK has ordered his team that no offer letters to be given as hard or soft copies and same will be given after candidates join. Also existing vendor staff are being offered in desperation which too are rejected by candidates. Some more people are fired almost every other month. no growth as chinese company doesnt want to grow in india anymore. Menos

How will you balance your family and home life with working a night shift?

4 respostas

I don't think that question is legal. You're not supposed to factor in family and personal factors in your hiring decisions, the candidate isn't even required to disclose the fact he/she HAS a family. Menos

Working night shift means I am there during the day to help with child are and house work what is brilliant. I am also taking additional supplements to support my body during this change and of course I have specific times to sleep. It's great!!! Menos

I don’t have a family it’s only me so honestly won’t be a problem
