Interview process at n8n was fast, smooth, and very well organized. Communication was clear throughout, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional. I genuinely enjoyed the process and appreciated how efficiently everything moved.

They have 5 rounds, starting with screening, coding challenge, skills (w/ engineering manager) and culture fit (w/ other senior engineers) and a final round with the CEO. They are currently trying to double their engineering team, so it's a relevant time to join their journey. The 3rd and 4th rounds were very similar in my experience, with all people involved asking exactly the same questions, regardless of their rank or seniority. Fine by me, but don't call it a culture fit. After the 4th round, I got rejected because they felt like I am not so much into their product as other engineers, regardless of my skills or experience. It is a bit demotivating to put so much effort into something and then get rejected with a pretty weird statement. In my opinion, they are not optimising their recruitment for good engineers, but for people that will fall in line and do as they are told, come with a big fake smile and spread the word that their company and product are the best ever.
