-60 min interview with project managers to see if I was a good culture fit
I was turned down after the culture fit interview with an explanation stating I did not have enough experience. Honestly, my experience/skill level was never tested, so this was a bit confusing. All I had spoken about so far was details that could be found on my resume, which they chose to interview me based on.
This has generally been my experience with small startups, they have not streamlined their interview process and aren't very efficient at proper recruiting/screening.
- 30 min phone interview to get better understanding of the role and allow me to know more about the company
- 60 minute phone interview to see if I was a culture fit
- 60 minute phone interview to do a deep dive into technical knowledge - this included a 30 line source code review
