The truth is that this company is making benefits by asking applicants to work on their daily issues and solve them. They have no intent to hire anyone and are just abusing people like you and me to solve their issues. I think someone should really report this to FBI for investigations. What was your 24 hr project about? I applied for the same position and at the end gave up since I found out that they are abusing me. The project took more than 16 hrs - I did not sleep over night to solve that project!
