Trabalho para Autodesk em período integral (Mais de 3 anos)
Very generous compensation and many perks. The offices are beautiful and great work environments. They invest in culture change, which can sometimes seem like corporate jargon, but at least shows some willingness to improve in my opinion.
They face challenges like many large companies. Communication between departments could be better. It can be hard to stand out without selling yourself out. There are definitely some "coasters" who don't do much. The corporate/sales side often conflicts with the engineering/technical side, usually at the cost of customer experience.
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Autodesk (Portland, OR (Estados Unidos da América)) em julho de 2019.
I applied online for the position, and got a response from an internal recruiter a few days later. He said he was "very impressed" with my resume. We went through some basic questions about my experience, and current role. He asked me to complete a coding exercise in about 2 days.
I completed it, and was given an opportunity to interview with the manager for the role, who was based in another city. We did a video meeting, and I was invited to do a local onsite interview with the team.
My interview was midweek. I interviewed with 8 people total, some individually, some in pairs. Everyone was nice, and thoughtful. Most of the interview questions were good. One pair seemed liked they'd just found a website of interview questions and were asking those.
My last interview was again with the manager of the team, who told me that they would speak with the team, and I should hear back from the recruiter that Friday or Monday. I got no contact. I wrote the recruiter on the following Tuesday, and the Manager on the following Thursday. I didn't receive any communication for a full week after I was told that I would.
When that email came, telling me that they were not interested in continuing with me, the recruiter got my name wrong. Mistakes happen , but paired with the lack of communication for a full week it came off as very inconsiderate.
Excepting the communication issue at the end, everyone was professional, and the experience was an overall good one.
