The hours in most locations are good, we do not open too early and most nights we close at 6. Have to work Saturdays but it is a shorter day. All employees can receive a bonus if you make your sales goals for the month.
The leadership at the DM level and above is lacking. Too many of them really do not care about the employees or patients. It is all about selling to everyone that comes in our office... whether they need anything or not. I feel if they cared more about the employees and coach us on how to be better employees overall we would have more loyal patients. There is a lot of competition out there and if we become so pushy and worried about every metric we will lose patients. The company does not embrace feedback very well and often if you provide feedback it seems your burdening someone to follow up. Communication is severely lacking, you can send an email to HR and not here anything back for days! Same goes with most emails and questions, if they respond you are often made to feel inferior and stupid for asking. Don't be fooled by all of the positive reviews you see online. The company keeps asking managers and employees to put positive reviews online to boost our ratings, if we had a great culture around the employee associates would do this on their own versus having to be asked.

Invest in people managers not just managers who do not care about their employees. Have a system to measure the employee engagement not just our patients. If you want to be the company of choice change the culture and it will happen.
