FarmGate Veterinary Group – Office Administrator

FarmGate Veterinary Group is a nine-vet, multi-site farm animal practice with a dedicated team of support staff, based in Mountbellew, Co. Galway. We are currently recruiting an experienced Office Administrator to join our busy and dynamic team.

The Role

This is a four-day-per-week position suited to a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service to clients in person and by phone
• Scheduling and managing appointments
• Invoicing and day-to-day accounting
• Stock management and ordering
• Computerised reporting and data management
• General office administration duties

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working in a busy office environment
• Strong IT and computer literacy, with confident use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn veterinary and practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a growing practice
• Full, clean driving licence
