As a former government agriculture agency, GrainCorp knows a thing or two about handling grains. Founded in 1916, the company specializes in storing, transporting, and marketing grains, including wheat and barley. Its grain operations are located primarily in eastern Australia, serving both domestic and international customers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It maintains bulk grain storage facilities capable of holding about 20 million tonnes and port terminals from which about 3 million tonnes are exported per year. Storage-to-terminal transport services are offered by road and rail. GrainCorp is also Australia's largest flour supplier and one of the top five largest commercial malt suppliers in the world.
