I've been employed with Access for many years now. I've appreciated the career advancement opportunities afforded to me. I've had several roles throughout my tenure and have grown personally and professionally from each role. Through frank conversations with my bosses, I was able to cultivate role growth and advancement opportunities. I appreciated the opportunities I was provided AS WELL AS the learning opportunities for when I made mistakes. I had managers who let me fail sometimes as a means to teach me and help me grow as a professional. They mentored me through the good and the bad and that's rare for most companies. I've always felt that Access has invested in me as an employee and want to see me reach my potential. Access is also a place in which managers welcome and embrace employee's ideas and individual contributions. While you might hire on in a specific role, you can really mold your position in to what you want and what makes sense for the business/position. They are also quick to reward and embrace "the extra mile efforts" when employees exhibit them. Lastly, we have the best CEO! I've worked closely with him in all my various roles and have seen the quiet battles he fights every day. It's rare to find a CEO with an open door policy and actually live by it.
Contras
The only con I can see is that individual departments tend to be silo'ed and thus communication inter-departmentally tends to fall short. But, you will find that with any company. I do see a real effort to try to fix that.
