Prós
Seasoned, top %1, developers working remotely but in a highly collegial atmosphere. Otherwise, see "The Deal" in cons.
Contras
Not exactly a con, but there is no ladder. The compensation is uniform for developers. It's an each-according-to-his abilities place, but the ability level is far higher than most shops outside of the elite Software companies: Google, Microsoft, etc. The best way to think about BR is that there's are explicit trade-offs, see below: Signing-on to the Bad Rabbit is signing-onto "The Deal": - the work isn't always interesting - the pay is ok, but not competitive with tough markets like NYC or SFO - there is a ceiling (Sr Developer) and no ladder unless you're hired as a junior developer BUT: - it's work-from-home and work-when-you-want, as long as it adds up to full-time - the balance sheet, compensation, structure, and much of the decision making is entirely transparent - management bends over backwards to be available and hear input It's a bit like a software commune -- coding on Kibbutz.
